Raisa is raised within Los Angeles by both of her parents. She has two sisters, Irlanda Almendarez and Italia Almendarez. Her first name, Francia, is Italian which means France. Italia in Italian means Italy, and Irlanda refers to Ireland. Virginia Almendarez hails from Mexico as does Renan is a Honduras native. Renan changed his name to El Cucuy shortly after the birth of Francia. The radio show he hosts is known and he's one of Los Angeles' top Latino DJs. Francia, who was only 17 when she first began her acting career in Hollywood in 2005 has had a significant impact from the beginning.
